1. Hygienic Manicure and Removing Natural Shine
Carefully remove the pterygium from the nail plate surface. To remove natural shine, use a soft file or buffer with a 180/240 grit rating. Keep your movements light without applying heavy pressure, filing strictly in the direction of nail growth.
2. Cleaning and Dehydrating
After buffing, always clean away dust particles using a lint-free wipe. Apply a dehydrator or degreaser, paying special attention to the cuticle area and lateral side walls.
3. Applying Primer
Select the appropriate product based on the natural nail condition:
- Acid-Free Primer (Ultrabond) — acts like double-sided tape and works best for most natural nail types.
- Acid Primer — recommended for nails prone to hyperhidrosis (excessive moisture).
4. Applying a Rubbed Base Coat
Before applying builder gel, always apply a thin, rubbed layer of elastic rubber base. This ensures reliable adhesion between the rigid gel material and the flexible natural nail.
5. Curing
Cure the base layer in a high-quality UV/LED lamp for at least 60 seconds. Ensure your lamp output is sufficient for complete material polymerization.
